Two walks from the Hotel Miramar

There are two different guided walks walks with Hattie Miles from Hotel Miramar in the next weeks …

Tuesday 26th March starting at 11am “Hidden Secrets of Bournemouth” … this popular circular walk tells you all sorts of things about our town. Quirky facts, famous residents and more. The walk lasts approximately one-and-three-quarter hours and costs £6 (over sixties and students £5). Meet at Hotel Miramar, E Overcliff Dr, BH1 3AL at reception or on the terrace ready for an 11am start.

Tuesday 2nd April starting at 11am “The Darker Side of the East Cliff” … This circular walk is usually a Summer evening walk but various people have asked if I can do a daytime version – so here goes.  It tells stories with a dark theme. They are all connected to the East Cliff and include the dramatic tale of an historic murder, a story about a Hollywood heart-throb and the sinking of a World War One ship. Price for this walk: £5.00 …  no need to book, just turn up.  The guided walk lasts approximately 90 minutes and is on relatively level ground.

For both walks meet at Hotel Miramar, E Overcliff Dr, BH1 3AL at reception or on the terrace ready for an 11am start.

Be prepared: Hidden Secrets includes a sloping path down to Bournemouth promenade  and some steps with a good rail. I recommend wearing comfortable shoes and dressing appropriately for the weather and you may want to bring some water to drink on the way. On both occasions walkers can park in the carpark at the rear of the hotel, just let reception know you are there … there are also bus stops nearby.
