Be prepared: this is a moderate walk and includes some slopes and steps with a good rail. I recommend wearing comfortable shoes and dressing appropriately for the weather. Walkers can park in the hotel’s carparks, but please let reception know you are there. The hotel is a ten minutes walk from bus routes on Christchurch Road. Refreshments are available at the Chine Hotel before and/or after the walk.
There’s a photograph from this walk on the walkingtalks Facebook page!
Join Hattie Miles on this intriguing circular walk from Hotel Miramar on Bournemouth’s East Cliff. You will hear the extraordinary story of a murder that took place in 1935 not far from the hotel, as well as an historic shipwreck and the story of an RAF war hero. Be prepared for a ghost story and some intrigue too.
Sunday 19th August starting at 5pm (meet in reception or on the terrace)
Price: £6 (over sixties & students £5) … no need to book, just turn up!
Be prepared: this is a mainly flat walk on pavements but I recommend wearing comfortable shoes and dressing appropriately for the weather – during this hot weather I suggest you bring a bottle of water too. Walkers can park in the carpark at the rear of the hotel, just let reception know you are there … there are also bus stops nearby. You can enjoy refreshments at Hotel Miramar before or after the walk. The walk lasts approximately 75 minutes.
